Rostec says ready to switch Russian airlines to natl booking system

MOSCOW, Apr 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s RT-Transkom, a joint venture of state corporation Rostec and Sirena-Travel, is ready to switch the country’s airlines to a national system of ticket booking immediately, the state corporation said on Monday in a statement.

“The national booking system is created in two versions – basic (for a gradual scheduled transition of airlines) and reserve (for urgent connection and provision of a stable functioning in case of emergency). The reserve system is ready for an emergency regime of fast transition (up to 24 hours),” Rostec said.

“At that, all the services of sale, e-commerce, servicing and registration of passengers at airports will be available seamlessly.”

Tests have been held with the participation of the largest carriers to adjust the needed organizational and technological measures and train the airlines’ crews.
